How it works

Fishing the nearshore reefs and wrecks is one of the easiest ways to catch fish in Miami. We anchor or drift over the reefs, ledges and shipwrecks just off the coast, both natural shipwrecks and artificial wrecks sunk to build up the fish population, and send baits down to where the fish hold. We use live bait, jigs, chicken rigs and kite fishing to pull up all kinds of structure-loving fish year-round. Steady action, no long run offshore, and a great way for families and first-timers to bend a rod.
