Amberjack live over the deep wrecks off Miami and they do not come up easy. Anglers call them reef donkeys for a reason, the fight is stubborn, vertical and unforgettable.
How we fish for them
We drop live baits and heavy jigs onto the wrecks and hold on. This is the strongest pull on the bottom, so the crew sets you up in a good stance and talks you through every crank.
