Offshore for Mahi (Dolphinfish)

Spellbound Crew recommend getting out early. Traveling offshore and hunting for weed lines, floating debris, Frigate Birds and current/color changes for Mahi-Mahi. They are scattered offshore Goal is to catch more fish when running. These fish have been caught in roughly 300 - 900 feet. At this moment trolling techniques are using a combination of natural baits and artificial lures.

* Small bonito strips

*Excellent when covering water looking for mahi

* Pilchards

*Better for pitching to fish very effective when mahi's are schooling

* Artificial trolling lures

*Small - medium llander-style lures

*Jet Head lures

Trolling speed varies from 5 - 7 Knots
